Surah Al-Kahf

1.-->Its meaning-The Cave
2.-->The 18th Surah
3.-->110 Ayat
4.-->Meccan Surah
5.-->9-16--verses tell the story of the people of the cav(Ashabu Al-Kahf).
Some number of young monotheistic men lived in a time where they were persecuted. They fled the city together, and took refuge in a cave where they fell asleep.[still researching the whole story]
6.-->Surah al-Kahf also mentions the ruh, or soul/spirit in verse 28, and in the Parable of Two Men in verses 32-44. This story discusses two men who had both been given blessings from God, but one wronged his soul by saying that none of it could ever be taken away from him. At the end of the parable God destroys what he had given the man.
7.-->The third main story within the chapter (verses 60-82) is that of Moses traveling to gain knowledge from another servant of God who is never mentioned by name, but from other sources is called Al-Khidr.
8.Finally, the surah mentions in verses 83-98 a man who traveled a great deal and reached the east and the west of the earth - namely, Dhul- Qarnayan

The Koran and the History of Religion

The Koran and the History of Religion

a) The message that God has been sending down has been the same all throughout hi story, same in every way (Koran42:13).
b) Even though the Koran says in well over 15 places, that it is explained in detail, Tafseel (Koran 6:114 etc.), and contains a full explanation of whatever is needed by a believer (Koran 16:89), and should be enough, Kaafi, for them (Koran 29:51), and contains the complete law (Shariah) of God (Koran 45:18 and 42:13), as against man-made law or Shariah (Koran 42:21), “Muslims” insist that the Koran needs supplements to be understood, and lacks details.
c) This amounts to disbelieving what God himself says in unequivocal terms in the Koran.
1.The Koran claims that it contains answers to ALL relevant questions (25:33) and contains the best explanation (Tafseer) of itself (25:33 & 2:159).
2. The Koran claims to be the Hukm or commandments of God, according to which humankind is to be judged (5:48).
3. It also states that it is the Shariah or law/way with which God sent the messenger (45:18 & 42:13).
Who would know best on how to talk to humankind but their creator? Therefore, it makes no sense to say that outside sources better explain God’s word.

4.The Koran claims that it is explained fully in detail and lacks nothing.
5. Therefore it must, according to its claim, contain a full explanation of everything in Islam, including Salaah (prayer).
6.It surely does, we just need to study it.
7. A careful reading of the Koran reveals that we are to get our Salaah from the Masjid-el Haraam [the continuous practice at Mecca since the time of Abraham], specifically the “place of Abraham (moqaam e Ibraheem).”
8. The Koran tells us that the purpose of Hajj is to educate Muslims in Islam (Koran 22:27-28) and that the Masjid-el-Haraam is “guidance for all the worlds

Humankind were one community, then God sent prophets as bearers of good news and as warners and revealed with them the Book with the truth that it [the Book] might judge between humankind concerning that in which they differed. And only those to whom the book was given differed concerning it, after clear proofs had been given them, through mutual hatred and rivalry&127;(Koran 2:213)

First converts...!!!

The first of all his converts was his wife Khadijah,
the second his first cousin Ali,
whom he had adopted,
the third his servant Zayd, a former slave.
His old friend Abu Bakr also was among those early converts.

The Hunafa

The Hunafa
-->"The Makkans claimed descent from Abraham through Isma`il and tradition stated that their temple, the Ka`bah, had been built by Abraham for the worship of the One God. It was still called the House of Allah, but the chief objects of worship here were a number of idols, which were called “daughters” of Allah and intercessors. The few who felt disgust at this idolatry, which had prevailed for centuries, longed for the religion of Abraham and tried to find out what had been its teaching.
-->Such seekers of the truth were known as Hunafa (sing. Hanif), a word originally meaning “those who turn away” (from the existing idol-worship), but coming in the end to have the sense of “upright” or “by nature upright,” because such persons held the way of truth to be right conduct. These Hunafa did not form a community.
-->They were the non-conformists of their day, each seeking truth by the light of his inner consciousness. Muhammad son of Abdullah became one of these. "

1.Rayb means doubt........!! That is Book in which there is no Rayb, guidance for the Muttaqin........!!
2.Hidayah - correct guidance - is only granted to those who have Taqwa - fear of Allah.
3.It is for those who believe, a guide and a healing.
4.And as for those who disbelieve, there is heaviness (deafness) in their ears, and it (the Qur'an) is blindness for them. They are those who are called from a place far away (so they neither listen nor understand)
5. And We send down of the Qur'an that which is a healing and a mercy to those who believe (in Islamic Monotheism and act on it), and it increases the Zalimin (wrongdoers) in nothing but loss)
6.(O mankind! There has come to you a good advice from your Lord (i. e. the Qur'an, enjoining all that is good and forbidding all that is evil), and a healing for that (disease of ignorance, doubt, hypocrisy and differences) which is in your breasts, ـ a guidance and a mercy (explaining lawful and unlawful things) for the believers)

The Meaning of Ar-Rajim,(Al-Hamdu Lillah),Ar-Rabb,Al-Alamin

1.The Meaning of Ar-Rajim
Ar-Rajim means, being expelled from all types of righteousness.
It was also said that Rajim means, the person who throws or bombards things, because the devil throws doubts and evil thoughts in people's hearts. The first meaning is more popular and accurate.
2.(Al-Hamdu Lillah) (all praise and thanks be to Allah) is:
all thanks are due purely to Allah, alone, not any of the objects that are being worshipped instead of Him, nor any of His creation. These thanks are due to Allah's innumerable favors and bounties, that only He knows the amount of. Allah's bounties include creating the tools that help the creation worship Him, the physical bodies with which they are able to implement His commands, the sustenance that He provides them in this life, and the comfortable life He has granted them, without anything or anyone compelling Him to do so. Allah also warned His creation and alerted them about the means and methods with which they can earn eternal dwelling in the residence of everlasting happiness. All thanks and praise are due to Allah for these favors from beginning to end.'
3.The Meaning of Ar-Rabb, the Lord
Ar-Rabb
is the owner who has full authority over his property. Ar-Rabb, linguistically means, the master or the one who has the authority to lead. All of these meanings are correct for Allah. When it is alone, the word Rabb is used only for Allah. As for other than Allah, it can be used to say Rabb Ad-Dar, the master of such and such object. Further, it was reported that Ar-Rabb is Allah's Greatest Name
4.The Meaning of Al-`Alamin

Al-`Alamin is plural for `Alam, which encompasses everything in existence except Allah. The word `Alam is itself a plural word, having no singular form. The `Alamin are different creations that exist in the heavens and the earth, on land and at sea. Every generation of creation is called an `Alam. Al-Farra` and Abu `Ubayd said, "`Alam includes all that has a mind, the Jinns, mankind, the angels and the devils, but not the animals.'' Also, Zayd bin Aslam and Abu Muhaysin said, `Alam includes all that Allah has created with a soul.'' Further, Qatadah said about,

(The Lord of the `Alamin), "Every type of creation is an `Alam.'' Az-Zajjaj also said, "Alam encompasses everything that Allah created, in this life and in the Hereafter.'' Al-Qurtubi commented, "This is the correct meaning, that the `Alam encompasses everything that Allah created in both worlds.
